The English Man

english man front cover

ISBN: 978-1-9375203-2-6

by Mike Smitley

Throughout the history of man, aside from the Gospel itself, buyitnow few Biblical topics have been studied and debated more than Bible prophesy, specifically prophesy surrounding the events leading up to and including the Rapture, Tribulation, the Second Coming of Christ, the Millennial Reign, and the judgment of man. Any such study vividly reveals the intricate role of Satan and the demonic realm. This is a story about the involvement of these fallen angels in the affairs of man in an attempt to disrupt God’s plan for mankind. Although the scenario described in these pages is speculation at this point in time, it may well come to pass as End-Time events continue to unfold. THE ENGLISH MAN is a frightening tale of dark spirits weaving themselves throughout a serial murder investigation in a Missouri Amish community while attempting to alter prophesied events already set in stone by God before the creation of either man or angels.

And the LORD said unto Satan,Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.   Job 1:7

Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.   1 Peter 5:8

Is Caesar Our Savior?

caesarISBN: 987-0-9833739-0-2

By: Eric Laverentz buyitnow

Is Caesar Our Savior? explores the pattern of government dependency and ultimately oppression in the Biblical witness, highlighted by Israel’s desire for a King and God’s warning that the King would oppress them and take the very best of their work and property. This same pattern is shown in recent history where oppressive governments have often followed a weak and ineffective Church. As the Church in America has accepted a cameo role in keeping the land, we struggle with an ever-expanding government that increasingly seeks to form hearts and minds according to their own conception of fairness and justice.

I have attempted to frame this argument through what I believe are three underappreciated and unyielding truths that exist at the intersection of government and Gospel.

·       A weak Church is not the victim of an evil society.  An evil society is the victim of a weak Church.

·       Oppressive powers are aided and abetted as the Church refuses her call to live out the Gospel.

·       A Spirit-filled Church is the best hope for a free society.

By Barbara Taylor Sanders

We humans are happiest when we find a cause to support and set out tobuyitnow change the world. Sometimes such lofty and notions lead to disappointing complications and frustrations, but, nonetheless, we were created to help others and live a self-sacrificing life.

Life doesn’t seem fair when considering the immense human suffering in the world. I’ve often thought: There go I, but by the grace of God. Throughout my Christian journey and numerous mission trips abroad, I’ve been down many eye-opening paths. This rugged road has jarred my senses and challenged my faith because there is so much misery out there. Life really isn’t fair. As a wife and mother, I can’t imagine scrounging around for food to feed my family. Or not having access to running water.

Whenever I returned home from a mission trip to a third world country I’d feel guilty for several weeks. Each morning that I made my beautiful, solid-brass, king-size bed with its coordinated comforter and bed skirt, my life felt decadent compared to the meager living conditions I had just witnessed on a goodwill trip to an impoverished nation. I have learned to count my blessings.

Thankfully, our Bible believing churches reach out to help the homeless and usually support foreign missionaries. As Christians, most of us tithe and give additional offerings to help the poor and disadvantaged. Consequently, Christians are granted numerous opportunities to share the love of Jesus Christ by extending hands of mercy to those in need right within our own sphere of influence.

Getting Back In The River: Core Healing Of Grief And Loss

9870982532133buyitnow

ISBN:978-0-9825321-3-3

By Sara Brouillet

COMING SOON: Anyone grieving a death and living with unmet attachment needs, while attempting to let go, rethink, and trust inner promptings of sacred love will block the struggle, rather than grow through the deep pain of loss. In our walk with the Lord, the quintessential exemplar of true love, the eternal teaching and learning of forgiveness is constant, joyous, and humbling in a way that unites us with God and each other. Acts of forgiveness bridge chasms within us, years and places in life where only love can be the way of God to one another.

“Dr. Brouillet engages you in emotional healing as she combines spiritual guidance with her expertise in psychotherapy. The GBU Letters – Brouillet’s tools of the trade – are at the same time simple and profoundly effective. Getting Back in the River teaches how to leave your darkest place, and journey through grief and loss. It is not only a must read, but a must share.” Dorsey Prince Leonard, short-story author in, The Right Words at the Right Time, Volume 2: Your Turn!, by Marlo Thomas and Friends.

“You’ve got something valuable here. The discussion of loss as rejection versus loss as disappointment is a significant distinction and profound. This material has great utility to all therapists, medical personnel, and healers of all persuasions who work with hurting humans. ‘No safety, no growth’ . . . the paradox is that growth feels inherently not safe – it is going somewhere you have not been. It is risky. You cannot risk safety. True, there needs to be a sense of safety to venture forth – but in the end, it requires the courage to try. This is a really significant work.” John Davis, Ph.D., CEO of The Resource Group.

A TALE OF TWO CULTURES: Islam And The West

tale of two cultures font cover

ISBN: 978-0-9824982-0-0

By Mark Walia

This unique book reveals an unpleasant truth: Islam and the West are destined to eternal conflict because the two cultures hold irreconcilable views on the purpose of human life itself. Knowing beyond doubt that the universe has a Creator who intends to judge each of us in the hereafter, Muslims seek, first and foremost, to maximize humanity’s prospects of attaining heaven and avoiding the fires of hell. In contrast, Westerners, increasingly secular and dubious about supernatural claims, are bent upon maximizing individual happiness and wellbeing in this life. That enormous clash of worldviews leads Muslims and Westerners to utter disagreement on every major issue today--freedom of expression, religious liberty, female sexuality, terrorism, and gay rights.

Terminal Justice

buyitnowterminal justice front cover

 ISBN: 978-0-9825321-9-5

By Jack Branson

Suppose you could remove all consequences for your actions. What would you do to protect the innocent? How far would you go for justice?

What would it be like to take control of justice, doing whatever was necessary to get career criminals and sociopaths off the streets where our children walk? Then, at night, what would you tell yourself so you could sleep?

TERMINAL JUSTICE crosses a line most of us would never cross. It rips open our rawest emotions and lays them on the page, macabre yet familiar. It moves our darkest desires beyond anything we’d ever dream of doing and allows us to experience a borderless form of justice without risk.

TERMINAL JUSTICE is the story of highly trained but ordinary people who find themselves at a moment in life when they have nothing to lose by using their government training outside the law and following through on the impulses that sometimes surface in all of us.

It’s the story of an Assistant U.S. Attorney and seven federal agents who realize that no matter what they do, they won’t face life imprisonment or the death penalty. That realization triggers a desire to remedy the legal system’s weak and unfair decisions.

But justice is never clear cut, and it’s seldom easy. And in this instance, the feds are confident that they won’t face punishment because they won’t live long enough to go to trial.

Mormonism: A Life Under False Pretenses

buyitnowmormfnt

ISBN: 978-0-9825321-8-8

By Lee B. Baker

The fundamental difference that sets the Mormon Church apart from all truly Christian churches is the sinister and self-serving distortion of the very personality and character of the Lord Jesus Christ. For Mormonism to be true, Christ Himself must be corrupted into one who authorized horrible behaviour, thus rendering the past Mormon Prophets completely blameless concerning the motivations for their unspeakable actions.

Within the formal teachings of the Mormon Church, Jesus Christ Himself, and not the Mormon Prophets, is the author of polygamy, polyandry, and blood atonement. Under His direction alone, Joseph Smith Jr. was "commanded" to take some thirty wives, two as young as fourteen years of age. Mormons are instructed that it was the Lord, and no one else, who required Joseph to take the wives of eleven other men as his own (known as polyandry), as well as two sets of sisters and a mother and her daughter as his wives, while at the same time attempting to become president of the United States of America.

The Well of Destiny

well of destiny 2ISBN: 978-0-9825321-5-7  Updated and revised version of an earlier novel.buyitnow

By Dr. Jerome Goddard

Dr. Judd Manson, disillusioned by the South, soured on marriage, returns to Mississippi to investigate a lethal disease outbreak. The disease, mosquito-carried encephalitis, suddenly emerges in late July in the southeastern corner of the State and health department officials scramble to contain the outbreak. The new form of Encephalitis is unique, making genetic engineering or bioterrorism real possibilities. The Centers for Disease Control in Ft. Collins send the 39 year-old Dr. Manson (a specialist in infectious disease outbreaks) to Mississippi to aid local Health Department officials in handling the outbreak. He hates going back to the South because he was deeply offended during adolescence by the rigid, prim and proper South and pressures to conform. During his investigation, Judd discovers that infectious disease outbreaks are bad enough by themselves, but immensely more serious when intentionally spread. He also learns while working the outbreak that more important than the disease itself is that life is really all about going home.

Angels In My Heart

front cover -2ISBN: 978-0-9824982-9-3

By Kathleen Olowin

If anyone had told me when I graduated college that one day I would be writing a book about miscarriage, I would have thought they were crazy. Although I took a minor buyitnowconcentration in English as an undergraduate, I had no aspirations to be a writer. At the time I got married, I had heard of miscarriage, but assumed it was something rare that would never happen to me.  Little did I know how common it is, or how much I would come to know about it.

Each year, in the United States alone, nearly one million women experience the heartbreak of a miscarriage. An additional 26,000 families are faced with the trauma of a stillborn baby. The numbers are staggering, and yet, unless they know someone who has experienced this kind of a loss, most of these families feel very alone in their grief.

Every person's story is different, yet we all share common feelings and experiences as we try to come to terms with the death of our child. I don't profess to know all the answers—there is no magic formula which will suddenly make your world right again. The words I offer come merely from my own experience. But I hope, by sharing my journey with you, I can help with one small step of your healing.

 You are not alone.

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall

winterISBN: 978-0-9825321-2-6

By Ryan J. Murphy

Each season of the year has its own beauty. For missionaries, each season of life does too. Thebuyitnow seasons invested in missions create beautiful foundations for relationships and cultural understanding among the poor and unreached.

Each season creates new stories for Murphy, stories about surviving civil war, grieving poverty and disease, and celebrating the transforming love of Christ.

But this book is more than just stories of living. He also shares twelve biblical lessons about making it on the mission field.

Living is the challenge. Lasting is the goal. God is the reason we go. And seasons—winter, spring, summer, and fall—are where the lasting fruit of missions blossoms.
